When recession is giving a tough battle among Entrepreneurs, few young bloods still roar to challenge it by starting their dream company. A2Z team recently cracked one such aspiring company in Coimbatore named Scorp 9 Global services founded by Mr.Naresh.
A2z team had some fun with this young entrepreneur by asking him several tricky questions.
Would you believe that Naresh is still in his final year of studies yet running a 30 seater IT Support and allied services in Coimbatore?
The Entrepreneur’s Story
Hailing from Coimbatore, Naresh always had an urge to do things differently right from his childhood. Being stamped as a “bubbly boy”, Naresh grew in a business atmosphere which made his intentions very clear in his school days. Before launching Scorp 9 global services, he has ventured into many part time businesses like Mobile stores, selling educational CD’s (ofcourse with the informations gathered by him on various subjects) and so on… Naresh proudly accepts the fact that he had seen many failures before in his business which increased his pulse to make it big one day.
The Entrepreneur’s Curse
When asked about his hardships, Naresh takes no time to reply that getting bank loans was the toughest part of all (Yes it should be …). He argues that everybody has a dream of starting their own venture but where are the funds? In a democratic country like India, it is very sad that even before asking my business plans, people in bank asks for guarantee…what guarantee can I give? Except to promise them to do decent business and give employment to 3o + people! Naresh also reminds us that there are lot more innovative ideas on floor and without investment those ideas might be soon exported to foreign countries. (ha! Rightly said Naresh)
Naresh’s networking idea for success
When asked about his business secrets and how he market’s and where he gets orders from (a dumb question to ask, but we went ahead …), with a cheeky smile, Naresh spits that “Networking is key to business…I usually spend 4 to 5 for sleeping, and rest I build my network and now I have a great resource of people to back me up. So it’s all about networking. So aspiring Entrepreneurs…watch out.
Naresh’s “man in mirror concept”

When asked about his inspiration or role model, Naresh surprised us by taking out a face mirror from his desk and pointing that he shouts …” he is my role model …whenever I have a problem. I see the man in the mirror and ask him doubts, have a consultation and relax. He is my advisor and he is my GOD Father and yes that’s me ! , he winks and he says that he takes the mirror with him wherever he goes. ( Sounds interesting though …)
Team Scorp 9 Culture
We can feel a great energy flow inside the office and the rapport of the professionals where just fantastic and when we enquired about it , Naresh takes us by surprises by saying that he had recruited all his friends and that gives him the leading edge of maintaining the confidentiality of the concern. He also showed us an offer letter and we found that the salary was just at par with the industry standards. He has also recruited two senior HR’s who are guiding this young light.
A CEO with a difference
After sipping a cool pepsi , we came out with a satisfied feeling of visiting a young vibrant start up and personally we feel that this guy is bit different…managing 30 people and pursuing his final year BTech in Prist University with decent academic records, smile’s always..soft natured….never misses to have party’s …friends..mobile geek…oooppss…there are more secrets but let us stop here… atlast he promises to start a Business school in another 4 years…
Enough of his inspiration, we took our bike …zoooomed to our office and recollected this guy’s attitude….that night we had a relaxed sleep after a loooong time..what more to expect ?

Karate Boy of Coimbatore in South Africa!
It was almost a cracking day for A2z team today. Two quick fire interviews with young bloods. Oh, yeah, there is no doubt that Coimbatore is becoming one of the fast talent manufacturing city. Here we go an exclusive interview with Mr. R. Naresh Kumar– Final year ECE student of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore who will be landing in South Africa today to participate in the Common Wealth Karate Championship. He will be battling it out for the medal along with 45 other Country aspirants.
So what’s special about Naresh?
Quite a lot! This journey for him has come after a lot of sweat, failures, criticisms and more ….

Ten years ago, Naresh was forced by his father to join the karate class and it was with reluctance that he joined. But within a few days, he realized that this was gonna be a tough bet. Days passed by and training continued to be the same until his master realized that this kid had something special in him. With continuous motivation and training provided by his two masters Mr. Abdul Subhan and Mr. Muthuraju, Naresh began to love what he was into. Slowly it turned into passion. Regularity, dedication and hard work started paying off slowly. He won a few domestic tournaments and his two dedicated masters kindled his flame of confidence which made him win two gold medals at the national level.
The journey continued day and night and finally the Golden day came last year when Naresh was selected to participate in the common wealth games held in Scotland. But due to the delay of his Visa he was not able to participate in the tournament. But Karate guys are a bit different. Instead of sitting in a corner and crying, this guy took a vow that he would make a come back. After another year of increased hard work, more concentration and more training , now Naresh is on his way to South Africa to participate in the Common Wealth Karate Championship.
Naresh wants to give the credit of his success to his H.O.D.Mr. Thinappan, principal Mr. Rangarajan , the director and trustee of his college ,his class mates(Final E.C.E 2006-2010) , the faculty of E.C.E., his juniors and all his friends doing the diploma.
Apart from his gurus, Naresh dedicates his success to his parents Mr. Rajendran and Mrs. Bagyalakshmi, relatives, well-wishers , father’s friends , his five best friends, Lakshmi Kanth, Harikrishnan, Shanmugam, Suresh kumar, & Ashok Kumar and his Karate mates Prem Bhadhur for having been with him during all his tough times.
A2Z Team wishes Naresh a great tournament and hopes he will be the next Golden Boy of Coimbatore who will do our Nation Proud. Jai Hind!
Naresh is grateful to his college for the financial assistance of Rs. 40,000/ and to Mr. Prabhu from U.K. who sent him Rs.15,000/.
Like many others Naresh also feels that while cricket is given all the attention, the other fields of sports are neglected. He would like to request the corporate bodies to sponsor talented youngsters like him who would win medals and recognition and honour for the nation. Many such people are languishing because of the lack of financial support.
If you want to send your wishes to Naresh, you can shoot a mail to a2zcoimbatore@gmail.com and your wishes will be forwarded to him.
