The World is full of competitions with thrills and fun surrounding us each and every second. Few people dare to make those seconds even more thrilled with dangerous ambitions and  go to the extreme by having their life ambitions mixed with dangerous aspirations and here is one guy named Anand from our Cotton city who is sweating it out to make it big in dirt racing.

Anand’s dreams began to vibrate when he watched the first racing in VOC Stadium conducted by MRF and after vigorous practice and encouragement from friends and family, he took part in the race in 2001 where he came third.

Winners start with a tragedy

                               Winners always have to come past many hurdles before the bear the name as “Winner” and it was once again proved in Anand’s life when he broke his hand and wrist in a race in 2002 which made him to take bed rest for almost 7 months. High opposition from family and health conditions forced Anand to be silent for the next 5 years during which he floated his Travel Company.

Re-entry after burning desire

                              But things were not same since Anand was having a burning desire which prompted him back to the race in 2006. From there on….heat and speed were his only focus. Race after race, trophy after trophy he groomed as a pro dirt racer. So far Anand has participated in more than 100 races among which 40 of them were in 2007 alone. He has so far survived 2 major accidents and 4 minor accidents apart from Normal skids and hurts. His dream Bike is to ride YZ250 as on date. Point to note here is that Anand along with his racer friend M.R.Prakash will be participating the National race to held in Hyderabad later this year with a dream of participating in International Dirt Racing in Dubai.

Racing in Coimbatore

                              Anand also says that racing in Coimbatore is improving at a good pace with increase in bike lovers. He also assures that Coimbatore will make a mark in racing very soon. Moreover when asked about the crowd support and recognitions, Anand says that around 1500 people on an average attends the racing in Coimbatore to encourage the racers which he feels is a good rate.

Caution to College Students
                                 
                              When asked about his observations on bike driving by college students in Coimbatore, Anand feels that College students should definitely reduce the speed of their driving inside the city instead, they can utilize the special tracks and pads provided to experiment their speed. Out of 100, Anand gives only 20 marks to the driving skills of college students and he also warns that it’s high time for them to realize the risk involved in speed racing, overtaking, drink and drive in Coimbatore.

Family

Anand’s Father being a doctor and mother as nurse has splendidly supported him in his risky passion and his sister has settled down in Europe.

When asked about his special stunt, he immediately replies as “ Double Jump” and he says that it is clearing the mud 6 feet tall in air and before landing he has clear another. Bit risky but a worthy watch is what we feel.
